SARA SERIO

Nata a Zurigo, da una coppia di emigranti italiani, Sara Serio è la più giovane di quattro fratelli. La musica in famiglia ha sempre avuto un ruolo molto importante. Sara è cresciuta musicalmente avendo in sottofondo le canzoni napoletane ma soprattutto i cantici della chiesa. Già a cinque anni preferiva sedersi al pianoforte piuttosto che uscire a giocare con gli altri bambini. Così il pianoforte l'ha accompagnata durante tutta la sua giovinezza e negli anni dell'apprendistato ha fatto parte della band «Vita Nuova», suonando le tastiere e come voce solista. Dopo la formazione di base come educatrice qualificata e un'ulteriore formazione come Responsabile, Sara Serio gestí fino al 2014 un asilo nido a Zurigo-Oerlikon con bambini provenienti da circa 40 famiglie, attualmente vive con i proventi della musica.

Accanto al suonare e cantare, la composizione si rivela un elemento centrale nella sua vita. In occasione di concerti come solista o con la band oppure suonando ai matrimoni Sara ha potuto inoltre acquisire molta esperienza sul palco. Il punto culminante è stato però la partecipazione al concorso per musica cristiana «Sabaoth Festival» di Milano nel novembre del 2006. Vincere questo festival le ha dato l'impulso decisivo per il suo album di debutto, «Vicino a te», pubblicato nel 2008. Con questo album, è nata la collaborazione con il produttore Matthias Heimlicher, (www.heimlicher.net), produttore anche del suo secondo album "Dararap" e della sua ultima produzione Italo- spagnolo "Dime".

Le composizioni di Sara, contengono gioia, speranza e amore; ricetta fondamentale nella vita quotidiana. Attraverso la sua musica vuole trasmettere questa motivazione all'ascoltatore affrontando i momenti intimi nella realtà personale, siano essi facili o difficili.

Sara Serio ist als jüngstes von vier Geschwistern in Zürich (Schweiz) geboren, nachdem ihre Eltern im Jahre 1960 von Italien ausgewandert sind. Die Musik spielte in ihrer Familie stets eine grosse Rolle. Musikalisch aufgewachsen ist Sara Serio vor allem mit den neapolitaschen Liedern und und mit kirchlicher Begleitmusik. Bereits mit 5 Jahren sass sie lieber am Klavier, als draussen mit anderen Kindern zu spielen.  Das Klavierspielen begleitete Sara Serio auch durch ihre ganze Jugend. Bereits während ihrer Lehre betätigte sie sich in der Band «Vita Nuova» als Keyboarderin und Sängerin. Nach der Grundausbildung als diplomierte Kleinkinderzieherin, liess sich Sara Serio zur Krippenleiterin weiterbilden und führte in Zürich-Oerlikon eine Kinderkrippe mit Kindern aus fast 40 Familien. Seit Anfang dieses Jahres lebt sie nun vollständig von der Musik.

Neben dem Klavierspielen entwickelten sich das Komponieren und Singen zu weiteren zentralen Elementen in ihrem Leben. Konzertauftritte an Hochzeiten, als Solistin mit Piano oder an Konzerten mit der Band ermöglichten Sara, wichtige Bühnenerfahrungen zu sammeln. Ein Höhepunkt war für Sara die Teilnahme am Wettbewerb des «Sabaoth-Festivals» in Mailand im November 2006. An diesem Festival ging sie als Gewinnerin hervor und es wurde der Anstoss für ihr im Jahre 2008 erschienenes Debut-Album «Vicino a Te». Bei diesem Album begann die Zusammenarbeit mit dem Produzenten Matthias Heimlicher (www.heimlicher.net), welcher auch beim zweiten Album "dararap" von Sara Serio mit dabei war und auch wieder beim Album "Dime".

Die Lieder von Sara Serio, welche Freude, Hoffnung und Liebe enthalten, sind für sie ein wichtiges Ventil im alltäglichen Leben. Diese Motivation ich auch für den Hörer erkennbar und so lässt sich durch die Musik von Sara so manches leichter angehen und harte Realitäten wandeln sich zu hoffnungsvollen und intimen Momenten.

Sara Serio was born in Zurich (Switzerland) as the youngest of four children, after her parents have emigrated from Italy in 1960. Music always played a major role in her family. Musically, Sara has been growing up mainly with neapolitan songs and church music. At the sweet age of 5, she preferred sitting behind the piano instead of playing outside with other children. Playing piano was a major portion in her younger years. During apprenticeship, she already took her role as keyboardist and vocalist in the band «Vita Nuova». After graduating as nursey-school teacher, she's received leader status and now manages a school with little kids from almost 40 families within the Zurich area.

Besides playing piano, both songwriting and singing became bigger and more central elements in her life. Wedding performances, solo gigs with just her piano, or full band concerts gave her great opportunities to grow, both musically and personally. One of her career's highlights was the «Sabaoth Festival» in Milano (Italy) in 2006, where she's won the first prize. This was the trigger for her first solo album «Vicino a Te», released in 2008. This album was also the start of her collaboration with top producer Matthias Heimlicher (www.heimlicher.net), who's also responsible for the second album now.

Sara's songs - talking about joy, hope and love - are an important «safety vent» in her daily life. This motivation is easily audible by the listener. With this in mind, many daily things are just easier with Sara's music - and hard realities transform into hopeful and intimate moments...
